We recently launched a referral program for Glimpse users and industry suppliers like POS or security camera providers.
This means you can now refer Glimpse to eligible bars and restaurants in order to earn rewards and commission fees.
If you’re an existing Glimpse user, you can earn a free month of service when a bar or restaurant you refer signs up to any of our paid plans.
If you’re an industry supplier or any third-party recommending Glimpse, you can earn up to $948 in commission fees for each referral.
So you win when we win and vice-versa. This is why we created this guide with best practices to generate rewards and commission with Glimpse.
If you want to learn more about the Glimpse Referral Program, head over to this page.
If you’re already signed up or consider signing up, read on for our tips and best practices.
1. Add Glimpse to your resources page
Do you have a dedicated Resources page on your website? This is usually a collection of products and services you’d recommend to your audience.
A resources page helps your customers and readers choose vendors easily based on the trust you have already established with them – saving time and effort in the process.
It also helps you build new partnerships and – you guessed it – earn commission fees when you use your special referral links.
So if you don’t have a resources page yet, think about creating one to help your customers select vendors while creating a new source of income and partnerships. You can see multiple examples here.
If you already have a resources page and would like to add Glimpse, you can use the below text when describing Glimpse to your audience:
Glimpse Performance Insights
Glimpse provides AI-enabled video analysis to bars and restaurants so they can reduce spillage, prevent theft and gain full visibility over their operations. The Glimpse computer vision software tracks drinks being passed over the counter and then matches all drinks served to your POS system, uncovering critical business insights. 2. Send an email to your audience
If you have an existing email list, it could be an effective source of referrals.
For example, you can include Glimpse as a featured resource as part of your regular newsletter or a one-off email blast.
We do this at Glimpse too – every month we include a featured resource in our newsletter to help bar and restaurant owners discover helpful products (although we don’t usually get a commission for it).
Need some inspiration? Just copy and paste the template below:
Featured resource: Glimpse Performance Insights
Glimpse uses computer vision to identify items passed over the bar and compares this data to your POS sales. You then get regular reports that highlight major discrepancies, when they happened and who’s responsible – without having to review hours of security camera footage manually. Try out Glimpse and get full control over your bar or restaurant today.

3. Publish a social media post
Do you have a substantial following on social media networks like Facebook or LinkedIn?
These channels are great for raising awareness about a certain problem and plugging in a solution to fix them.
For example, you can promote Glimpse using the following post:
Did you know that the average restaurant loses $14,950 a year due to giving out free drinks, overpouring and employee theft? Technology like Glimpse helps prevent this by tracking items passed over the bar and comparing them to your POS sales data, uncovering critical insights in the process. 4. Answer questions in online forums and communities
There are many online communities where bar and restaurant owners look for information and share their experiences.
For example, this is a group with more than 12,000 members on Facebook:
Restaurant Owners & Managers Group
And Reddit has an active community of bar and nightclub owners here:
These are just two examples but you will also find multiple questions on Quora, official forums and online networking events.
Whenever you come across a question or problem that’s relevant to Glimpse or another product you promote, you can also add your link for further info.
Anyone reading your replies in the future will see this so it can turn into a consistent stream of referrals if you contribute regularly for at least 6 months to a year.
5. Create product listicles
With so many tools for bars, restaurants and small businesses in general, it’s hard to compare and choose technology products to use.
This is where listicles come in – articles that describe multiple products along with their pros, cons and pricing. They are typically in a list format and titled along the lines of “X Email Marketing Tools for Restaurants” – hence the name “listicle”. We even have one ourselves:
The Best Apps to Manage Your Bar’s Inventory in 2021
Not only are these articles useful to your audience but they also rank extremely well on Google. So consider creating a listicle targeting a specific keyword like “best restaurant management software”.
If you rank well and include your unique referral link when describing products, you can earn a consistent stream of referrals without lifting a finger once you publish.
You can take this one step further and create a dedicated review to describe the functionality of a single product in more detail which often builds a more convincing case, although it’s not as likely to drive organic traffic.
6. Add a link on your thank you pages
A thank you page is typically used after someone submits a form on your website. It’s great for user experience but also a good location to promote related products, services or the next step in your sales funnel.
If you already utilize thank you pages across your website, consider adding Glimpse as a featured or related product. This is especially relevant if you offer a complimentary solution like surveillance or POS.
In addition, if you produce content for the bar and restaurant industry, you can promote related products when someone downloads a guide or eBook from your website. This way, you can maximize your opportunities to monetize your free content.
7. Build in-person relationships
The online world provides unparalleled reach but live, in-person conversations typically yield higher conversion rates.
Let’s say you provide inventory audits as a service. This means you’re often visiting clients on-premise and primarily connect in-person or over the phone. These situations often provide an opportunity to recommend a product or service like Glimpse to mitigate risks or improve performance based on your audit results.
This is just one example but it’s applicable in other environments like industry events or conversations with peers.
But how do you still generate a commission if you’re referring Glimpse offline? You can use a tool like QR Code Generator to transform your referral link into a QR code in JPG format that’s easy to scan from your phone. Or simply send the link via a messaging service following a conversation.
